MA|Architects, Inc. has a long-term growth opportunity for a Intermediate Architect based in our Los Angeles area office to support our growing portfolio of healthcare projects. As a small, studio-based design firm our team members are afforded multiple opportunities to gain experience with all aspects of each project from concept through construction.
Qualifications:
- Possess an accredited degree in Architecture
- Have minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in an architectural firm.
- Experience working with AutoCad and Revit for design and production of construction documents
- Ability to lead small projects, coordinate with consultants, capable of detailing and producing construction documents
- Demonstrate technical thinking abilities, attention to detail and strong research skills.
- Possess strong communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Bluebeam
- Seeking licensure in California.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Assist with development of a project scope of work and project schedules.
- Field investigation of existing conditions and review of as-built documents.
- Coordinate design work with the internal team, design consultants, clients, vendors, manufactures and regulatory agencies
- Research building code and other project requirements
- Work with regulatory agencies for project approval
- Perform site visits and attend client meetings
- Contributes to project’s technical design effort, subsequent detailed design development, project coordination and quality control efforts during all phases of project work
- Manage Construction Administration process, including shop drawing review, response to RFIs, job site observations, preparation of Change Order documents and Post Approvals Documents.
