The properties were registered under the name of Dawod Ibrahim's mother, Amina Bi. The auction was organised under the Safema act, officials said. The auction took place at the Aayakar Bhavan in south Mumbai.
Only two of the four listed properties, which received four and three bidders, respectively, attracted successful bids, with a single person emerging as the successful bidder for both.
There were no bids for the other two properties.An agricultural land with the reserve price of Rs 15,440 was auctioned for Rs 2.01 crore, the highest bid at the auction. A total of four bidders came for this property.
Another agricultural land fetched the highest bid of Rs 3.28 lakh against the reserve price of Rs 1,56,270, officials said.
The name of the successful bidder was not disclosed. According to a participant the winning bidder was a Delhi-based lawyer.
Earlier in 2017 and in 2020, over 17 properties belonging to the underworld don were auctioned off by Safema.
Dawood, a key accused in 1993 Mumbai serial blasts, lived in the Mumbake village before moving to Mumbai in 1983.
Dawood is also designated as a 'global terrorist' by the United Nations under United Nations Security Resolution 1267, and listed under the Fourth Schedule of the UAPA Act, 1967.
